About Us

 Richard Poppe is the manager and driving force behind Mountain Rose. His experience with dogs goes back over 40+ years beginning in childhood. Richard was heavily influenced by his Mother (Peggy Poppe), a professional breeder, trainer, and handler of high caliber show dogs. Richard had the wonderful opportunity while growing up to attend a vast number of dog events and dog shows where he watched his mother attain great success and notoriety. Richard gives his Mother credit for much of the genuine love and enthusiasm he has for his dogs. Of course, this has now been passed along to our children and our young grandchildren as well... Thanks Mom!
